A Bit About Me

Lead Artist | Art Manager | Empathetic Leader

I am a Lead Artist and Art Manager with over 8 years of experience driving visual excellence for global AAA titles (including Fortnite and Doctor Who) and innovative indie projects. As the Founder and Director of Little Thistle Studios, I don’t just create art—I build the pipelines, multidisciplinary teams, and studio cultures that make high-end art possible.

The "People-First" Production Philosophy

What truly sets me apart is a rare dual expertise: I am as comfortable navigating Unreal Engine and Photoshop as I am navigating conflict resolution and team dynamics. With a PG Cert in Pluralistic Counselling, I specialise in Empathetic Leadership. I believe that the highest-fidelity production should never come at the cost of team burnout. By integrating mental health advocacy and structured support into the creative workflow, I ensure teams remain inspired, cohesive, and productive under the pressure of tight deadlines.

From Technical Artist to Studio Director

Following the liquidation of my previous employer in 2024, I took a proactive leap into entrepreneurship by establishing Little Thistle Studios. This transition allowed me to expand my role from "Artist" to "Strategist." Today, I manage the full digital art landscape, from Art Direction and Project Management (Jira, ClickUp, Miro) to External Development Coordination. I have cultivated a robust network of vetted artists, giving me the unique ability to scale production and onboard talent with speed and precision.

Looking Forward

Whether defining the visual DNA of a new IP or streamlining a complex outsourcing pipeline, my goal is to foster collaborative environments that deliver world-class results. I am currently seeking a permanent Art Manager, Lead, or Senior position where I can apply my leadership prowess and artistic technicality to drive long-term success within an innovative studio.
